The Irish DiscWorld Convention 2009 will be held at The Falls Hotel, which is located in picturesque grounds not far from central Ennistymon, in Co. Clare, Ireland.

Of note is the beautilful views from the every window on the west side of the hotel of the cascading waters of the beautiful River Inagh (mentioned above), the large open grounds – complete with wildlife, and the riverwalkways.
Also of note is that the hotel has free wi-fi in the public areas and in selected suites. There is also the attached leisure centre and spa. The leisure centre is open to all hotel residents, and there is a 15% discount on the cost of spa treatments for all convention members.
Getting There
From Cork
Take the N20 North towards Limerick, approx 60 miles (95km).
From Dublin
Take the N7 Southwest to Rathcoole and Naas (approx 13 miles/20km), where it becomes the M7 until just after Portlaoise (37 miles/60km). From there, keep following the N7 again to Limerick (approx 57 miles/92km).
From Galway
Take the N18 going South. At Kilcolgan, approximately 9 miles (15km) from Galway, turn right and follow the signs to Ennistymon approximately 25 miles (40km). Once in Ennistymon, take the first turn right.
From Limerick and Shannon Airport
Take the N18 North towards Ennis. Take the N85 Ennistymon Exit from the dual carriageway and follow the signs to Ennistymon, approximately 20 miles (32km). Once in Ennistymon take second turn left.
By other than road
- The nearest railway stations are at Ennis and Galway.
- The nearest international airports are Shannon, Cork and Dublin. Galway has a regional airport.
- Car ferries run to Dublin, Rosslare (nr Wexford) and Kinsale (nr Cork).
